Senior and Staff Accountant Position Openings

Malcolm M. Dienes is a leading 70 year old CPA firm with offices in Metairie, Covington and Houma Louisiana. The firm is affiliated with BKR International which is an affiliation of CPA firms worldwide.

We have positions open for Senior and Staff Accountants in our Metairie office.

Our Metairie office services a variety of clients from professional service, medical practices and many other industries. This position will offer a candidate a wide variety of experiences including working on tax, audit and forensic accounting engagements.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare Federal and State income tax returns for a variety of entities, such as S corporations, partnerships, individuals and more
• Perform client write-up services, including payroll tax returns, personal property tax returns, etc.
• Prepare compiled financial statements
• Participate in audits of client financial statements and 401k plans
• Participate in litigation support engagements
• Participate in client meetings and consulting engagements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Master’s Degree is a plus. If not a CPA, the candidate should have a desire to become one
• Demonstrate attention to detail, professional attitude and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Good communication skills
• Ability to communicate with clients and other team members
• Team player and willing to work extra hours during tax filing deadlines
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment where time-sensitive tasks are the norm
