About Orleans Parish 4-H In 4-H we believe in the power of young people. We see that every child has valuable strengths and real influence to improve the world around us.

Louisiana 4-H is the largest youth development program with clubs and groups in all sixty-four parishes. From food, fitness, and fashion to computers, cows, and camping, there’s a 4-H activity for everyone. 4-H provides experiences for young people to learn by doing; through informal, research based, hands-on educational activities 4-H members gain knowledge and life skills to help them become positive, productive, capable, and compassionate members of their communities.

Our programming provides education in three mission areas: Citizenship, S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and Healthy Living. Inside of these three mission areas are a broad variety of categories ranging from aeronautics and embryology to nutrition and character education.

Orleans 4-H has 350 members across grades K-12. We offer a variety of programming within our school clubs, community project clubs, regional and statewide competitions and camps. Orleans 4-H also serves the community through community service, enrichment programs and community outreach events.

Orleans 4-H offers youth from all backgrounds and interests the opportunity to join 4-H as a 4-H club member or independent member. 4-H offers membership without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, gender, disability or inability to pay.
